Why You Should Help Us
If you're the type who would want to see those that criticize the government leave the country, well, now's your chance. If you believe this country is truly free, with 'equality and justice for all,' and that other nations are actually envious of us, we disagree. If your eyes get misty at the sight of the flag and you believe the United States is the most advanced civilization that's ever existed on the face of the earth, you probably don't want us in your club. If you really can't tolerate anyone badmouthing this great nation of ours, here is your opportunity to reinforce your principles through action. Show us the door. Give us the bum's rush. Help throw us out.
If you are also critical of the direction this country is heading and believe that personal freedoms are systematically being eliminated to the point where we no longer live in a democracy; if you see the two-party political system as an outmoded behemoth that's really just a fundraising contest; if you agree that the American Dream is, for most citizens, a myth of constructed desire to keep us all spending; if you believe that the almighty dollar should not constitute our lifeblood, and that one's identity should be more than the name of your job… than here’s your chance to support your fellow idealists.
We want to change our lives; to make a whole new start overseas. But we can’t do it alone. As we said before, it looks like it'll take in the neighborhood of $10,000 at a minimum to start new lives in Paris. Soon, we'll be keeping a running tally on this Web site to let readers know our progress. Please donate what you can spare, and take heart in knowing you're helping two idealists realize their dream.
