The happy tune that you hear is The Dachs Song by Paul De Vries and Murray Weinstock. It is the favorite song of The Vienna Sausage Choir. Their strict disciplinarian director, Sr Schubertdine, says they should sing something more reverent and spiritual but when no one is looking, she has been seen dancing to The Dachs Song ! If you are on a modem, please be patient and allow a little time to load - we think you'll enjoy the result!

All the pups soon developed unique personalities. Schubert became very demanding at meal times and repeatedly summoned the 'waitress'.
After dinner stuffed, Schubert would just 'hang out'.
Hummel would practice looking very innocent when plotting how to boss Schubert around.
'Walkies????'
Soon another little rescue was to find his way to . He sat in a cage too small for his body and when people came to look at him, he stood on his head for attention. That was it! Otto von Rubbermeyer was now safe at home.
Is it any wonder why he was given the last name 'Rubbermeyer?'
Otto grew up to be very handsome!
Otto knew he was the cutest and most adorable dog...he even got his photo in the Dachshund for Dummies book!
Otto was even entered in a spring hat competition...he thought he should have won!
Otto would wait patiently for talent agents to call.
They never did.
